Synopsis officiel

Sonic et ses amis reçoivent chacun une lettre les invitant à un Grand Prix qui ne ressemble à aucun autre. Elles s’avèrent être envoyées par le mystérieux Dodon Pa, un Tanuki excentrique se déplaçant dans une sorte d’Egg Mobile. Dodon Pa semble sympathique et se dit uniquement intéressé par les capacités de la bande à Sonic en tant que pilotes, mais ses intentions sont mystérieuses et il n’est pas facile à cerner. Il n’en faut pas plus aux héros pour soupçonner l’implication de leur ennemi de toujours, le Dr. Eggman…
